Following a lead on the Sanctum, Point Pleasant’s magical liaison Megan Miller stumbles straight into a murder scene. A local accountant lies dead, and a man is standing over her body with the murder weapon in hand. It looks like an open-and-shut case. Then the victim transforms into a three-tailed fox.

The apparent killer panics, Megan tries to contain the situation, and somewhere in the ensuing magical chaos, she accidentally erases his memory of the entire incident.

So much for an easy investigation.

Embarrassed and determined to fix the mess she created, Megan sets out to uncover what really happened. But the deeper she digs into the accountant’s work, the more complicated the case becomes. Her clients are hiding plenty of secrets, buried beneath a tangled web of facts, figures, and financial records that might make perfect sense to a forensic accountant. Unfortunately, Megan isn’t one.

With every discovery pointing toward another possible suspect, Megan must figure out which secrets are merely worth hiding and which might be worth killing for. All while confronting an even more troubling question: was finding the body while investigating the Sanctum really a coincidence?

Because in Point Pleasant, some secrets just don’t add up.

Perfect for fans of witchy small towns, found family, magical creatures, supernatural politics, and cozy mysteries with a magical twist, this paranormal cozy will keep you guessing until the very end.
